Our standards
Everything on ir4 is written to help UK players make informed choices about licensed casinos. These are the standards every page meets before it's published and every time it's updated.
Sourcing
- Offers come from the casino's own promotion pages and full terms. We record the date of every check.
- Licences are confirmed on the Gambling Commission's public register, and we link to each entry.
- Rules come from the Gambling Commission's announcements, cross-checked against legal commentary from established law firms.
- Payments and withdrawal times come from casino help pages and independent tests by established publishers, which we name and link at the end of each review.
Two-source rule
Where a fact doesn't come straight from the casino or the regulator, we look for at least two independent sources that agree. When sources conflict, we give the range, say which source reported what, or leave the figure out. We never publish a number we can't stand behind.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it as soon as we're told and update the "last checked" date. Email hello@ir4.co.uk with the page and the problem.
Independence and adverts
We earn commission from some casinos, as explained in our advertiser disclosure. Casinos can't review or edit our content. Commercial placements are labelled "Ad", and affiliate links are marked as sponsored.
Safer gambling
We only cover casinos licensed for Great Britain, we never promote offshore or "not on GAMSTOP" sites, and support links appear on every page. See our responsible gambling page.
