What counts as low wagering now?
Before 2026, a bonus with 20x wagering looked generous next to the 35x to 50x that was common, and some operators went as high as 60x. Since 19 January 2026, UK-licensed casinos can't go above 10x. In practice that means every wagered bonus is now "low wagering" by the old standards, and the real differences are the deadline, the bonus size and whether wagering applies to the bonus alone.
60x was the highest level the Gambling Commission found in use before the cap.
